OpenERP implementation at Engg. College

September 01, 2011 - Consultants from ZestyBeanz along with the Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering of Government Engineering College(GEC) Sreekrishnapuram, Palakkad are implementing OpenERP at their campus.

This project is being carried out by ZestyBeanz as a part of national wide movement aimed at educational institutions in imparting value addition through practical learning for students apart from what they get through theoretical learning. The project execution particularly is having involvement of both students from GEC and consultants from ZestyBeanz Technologies. Students are involved in all the stages of the project right from initial requirement gathering to Go-Live. This would give students a real time hands on experience on executing a full SDLC (Software development life cycle). ZestyBeanz would be responsible for the customization, development, implementation and support.

The project aims to automate GEC's academic and administration activities involving Students, Teachers, Departments and Libraries with the help of OpenERP, one of the fastest growing opensource ERPs. The system is expected to serve approximately 800 students and 100 staff members who are supposed to be active in the system in every year.
